Le P’tit Monde de Peggy moves to Varennes

The groundbreaking ceremony marking the start of construction work on Peggy 4’s Le P’tit monde daycare center was attended by the Minister of Family Affairs, Suzanne Roy, the Deputy Mayor of the City of Varennes, Guillaume Fortier, and municipal councillors Brigitte Collin, Carine Durocher and Gaétan Marcil. Also in attendance were Peggy St-Pierre, owner of the daycare center, and Rémi Létourneau, co-president of Protech Construction, designer, builder and co-owner of the building.

After a first daycare center in Boucherville and two others in Saint-Amable, Le P’tit monde de Peggy will soon open a fourth facility in Varennes. This new facility will offer children functional premises, outdoor play areas and equipment specially designed to support their development. The pedagogical approach will emphasize autonomy, curiosity and respect for each child’s individual rhythm. With a capacity of 80 children, the new facility fits harmoniously into a fast-growing residential area, reinforcing the area’s attractiveness to families.

“We’re very proud to be carrying out this project in Varennes, a town where we’ve been established for over 20 years, and which plays an important role in the region’s economic vitality,” says Rémi Létourneau, co-president of Protech Construction.

Daycare owner Peggy St-Pierre added: “I’m delighted to see this project come to fruition. We’ve come up with a simple, suitable place where children can play, learn and grow in complete safety. My team and I look forward to welcoming families and contributing to the well-being of toddlers in our community.”

“The opening of Le P’tit monde de Peggy 4 is excellent news for families in Varennes and the surrounding area. By working hand in hand with municipalities, we continue to increase the supply of educational childcare services. This project shows just how important it is for the government and local players to work together to meet the needs of families and provide access to quality services at an affordable cost, thanks in particular to subsidized spaces at $9.35 per day,” emphasized Suzanne Roy, Minister of Family Affairs.

“Varennes families will be well served with the arrival of Le P’tit monde de Peggy 4 daycare. We are delighted that Varennes has been chosen to host this new daycare, a project that will enhance the services offered to young local families,” said Guillaume Fortier, deputy mayor of Varennes.

For us, each project is an opportunity to build a meaningful living environment. A daycare center is much more than a building; it's a space designed for the development of children. children, family support and the future of our community. - Rémi Létourneau

An environment designed to support children’s development and the work of educators Carefully designed, the daycare center boasts bright, functional spaces, creating an environment conducive to children’s development and offering educators ideal conditions for providing stimulating, personalized support.
