Protech Construction carried out the interior fit-up of the Clinique vétérinaire Saint-Jude owned by Dr. Maricela Mejia Dorantes, in collaboration with designer Émilie Lavoie. The building’s purpose has completely changed. It was redesigned from A to Z to accommodate a modern veterinary practice perfectly adapted to the needs of a diverse clientele, including exotic animals.
The Clinique vétérinaire Saint-Jude stands out for its approach centered on pain and stress management. Anxious animals can receive medication to calm them before their visit and can undergo exams or X-rays under anesthesia when necessary. A ramp leading to the radiology table, accompanied by treats, was even integrated to reduce anxiety. Everything is designed for the comfort of the patients. Fluids are heated, as well as the blankets and the surgery table.
Even pet owners are taken into consideration, with a separate exit planned for euthanasia situations. This project gives new life to the building and creates a space where expertise, empathy, and precision come together in the service of animals and their humans.
